You know you caught a big one when it takes two harpoons and a gunshot to calm it down

Cool stuff! Would've been cooler if the fisherdude's name was Gil or Marlin!
Makes me wonder though.......would all that effort give one a bad haddock?
If that'd been illegal, he'd hafta face the cods!

I have not had broiled flounder in several years, and I really love it. That would keep me happy for quite a while. Butter, lemon juice....mmmmmm......
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Patchz, while flounder and halibut may be of the same flat fish family, the comparison ends there. Flounder has an oily tasting flesh whereas halibut is the queen of fish. My wife of 48 years (going for the gold) chunks it up and deep fries it in a beer batter. As finger food, with an ice cold Beefeater martini, it's almost as good as something I remember from earlier in those 48 years
.

I just realized it's been several weeks since I even had any fried catfish. Time to remedy that.
