No way, Jose!

I am assuming you are talking FS 2004, and I assume that your sliders are not full to the right as it is...  REX might be pushing it, but it is all a matter of what kind of performance you are satisfied with.
As far as FSX goes, I just don't see that you could run the stock program, with satisfactory image quality, at all, much less be adding in higher definition clouds and runways.  Just to be clear, the AMD x2 4800, has two cores clocked at 2.4 ghz, right?  REX 2.0 simply would not be value added with that processor.

I use REX for FS 2004 with all my sliders maxed, and all the boxes ticked.
It runs smoothly, locked at 20 FPS, on my ancient Socket A, AMD 2600 Athlon XP Thoroughbred (2.1 GHz) processor, nVidia  AGP 7800 GS 256 MB Graphics card, 2 GB Memory, 750 W PSU.
Win XP Pro SP2.

Runs like a dream!... Smiley...!

Excellent purchase!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav...and lots of lovely clouds... Cool...!

I'd say you would do fine if it were FS2004.  With FSX on the other hand, you might have trouble with anything higher than 512x512 clouds, though you should be able to run all the rest of the goodies fine.

Cheers,
RB
