Are there any airlines that still run 707's. I would love to see one some day seeing as they were pretty much retired for the most part before i was able to walk

Although 707s are no longer employed by major airlines, as of August 2009, 58 aircraft were in commercial use, mainly with air cargo operators. Commercial operators of the Boeing 707 are Saha Airline (5), Skymaster Airlines (5), TMA (5), BETA Cargo (4), Iran Air (4), Libyan Airlines (4), Angola Air Charter (3), Hewa Bora Airways (3), and Sudanese States Aviation (3) and other users with fewer than three aircraft.[25] The Romanian Government uses a 707-320C as a Presidential Aircraft, being operated by Romavia.[citation needed] American actor John Travolta owns, and is qualified to fly as second in command, an ex-Qantas 707-138B, registration N707JT.

Quote from Wiki. Also, the Air Force KC-135s are modified 707s.

And when you look at that list of operators, I can say I am in no rush to go for a nostalgic flight Grin

Well, kind of. They both originated from the Boeing 367-80, made in 1954.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_367-80

But apart from that, they don't have that much similarity, the KC-135s are mostly made to be KC-135s; not modified from 707s.

From one of my books on the 707 and KC-135: Quote:
Contrary to what the public gnerally believes, judging only from exterior appearance, the civil Boeing 707 and the military KC-135, whilst sharing the same lineage, are in fact two different aircraft and only share a small percentage of common elements.

Sorry to be pedantic.  Tongue

The E-3 is more a 707 than a 135 though. In fact the RAF E-3Ds are the last 707s. Smiley

Don't forget to add the: E-6, and E-8 to the list with the E-3, All three were based off the last part of the 707 assembly line?

From what i've read actually, Saha Airlines actually keeps good maintenance of its 707's cuz they say they get alot of aviation enthusiasts that want to fly it, infact their 707 flights are almost always full. So ide be ok with it
