Bad weather didn't stop me from going to the airport for the Bizjets today. Although, I didn't get out of the car to take these pictures because it was pouring rain.  Grin Grin Grin

This chopper did a flyover of the runway, then departed.

Sorry they're not better, but what do you expect when I'm hanging the camera out the window?  Cheesy

Cool

I can't believe the size of aircraft that use that airport with only 4700 feet of runway.  Some of those I thought required at least 5000.

I know. And every year I can't believe it when something bigger shows up. The Gulfstream V's come in here and they require 5,150 FT for takeoff. Falcon 7X's come in here and they require 5,500 FT for takeoff. Challenger 604's and 605's come in here and they require 5800 FT for takeoff. Suprizingly, the Embraer Legacy and Falcon 50 (shown above) are within their requirements. They all continue to come anyway.

Cool

I'd imagine they are not at max GTW when flying out of there... that changes things a bit.

That's true too. Most of the flights occur right around the north east, so a full load of fuel isn't needed. However, the biggest planes seem to come from and go far away, so who knows.  Cheesy
