Paul and I had to leave the server today, because nearly 20 people got on and buzzed us like crazy!

I didn't realize the Simviation FSHost server was so popular.  Undecided

Makes me appreciate those 4am-6am est. flights Paul.  Wink

I think this one, and the WSPilots one are probably the most reliable servers out there.
I've been buzzed very occasionally too, usually when I'm minding my own business and flying on my own.

Imagine, 20 mad pilots,
in supersonic Cessnas,
all hounding after you,
while complaining that you're flying the hop list,
when they have an entire world to fly in.

That's what it was like.  Cry

But as Brandon will tell you,
Hurricane Shane" took care of most of them.  Grin Grin   Wink
(looking forward to some screen shots of that one.  Wink )

No shots of the actual hurricane, because there was nothing to see. It went totally gray except for a few rain drops. Even from spot and tower, visibility was completely zero. Here is what it did to my flightpath in the Baron 58:

...

Was trying to fly the green line. Ended up having to fly the red line. The blue circles show the times when the Baron couldn't hold on and did complete 360's in the wind.  Grin Grin I think it's pretty clear when it started and ended.  Cheesy

I was lucky to hit no mountains since I was under most of the peaks.  Cheesy

Those others were pretty upset because many FSPassengers flights were ruined.  Grin Grin Grin

We HAVE to do that more often. Lots of fun.  Cheesy Cheesy

Cool

There were so many people online, that Paul's & mine frame rates dropped into the single digits!

It was horrible.  Angry

When I logged into the server, there were only a half dozen left, I wanted to warn you first, but decided you wouldn't mind the  surprise storm.  Cheesy Wink

I didn't mind, it was fun.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

And you're right, I wasn't flying, the storm was and I was just trying to go along with it.  Grin I tried to fight it in the begining, but with the Baron, I gave up. My airspeed kept jumping from 390 knots to 57 knots.  Grin Grin Grin I also tried to climb out of it, but no wonder I couldn't.  Cheesy

I loved the guy's reaction after it was over and I started talking to "The Server."  Grin Grin

Seriously, we need to invite those guys back and do it again.  Wink

Cool

I just read the chat log from that 'incident' and they were a bit upset.  Shocked  Grin Grin

I've sent Sam an email about the password, we'll post it here, so members of Simv can easily access it.

Those jokers all found our server using the FSHostSpy program, and none of them were Simviation members.  Roll Eyes

Shane.... Smiley....

Whilst you are having a chat with Sam, ask him if its possible to include a few more Server Port Addresses, (similar to WSP), eg:

23456.
23457.
23458.

It may then be possible to Password Protect* one of the Addresses for "special" occasions?

Paul...G-BPLF..FS 2004...FS Nav... Wink...!

* Knock twice, and ask for "Sam"..... Grin...!

In the "Olden Days", (CFS/FS2000/FS2002), the Sim V Multiplayer Host used to supply his/her own IP address and Password to each participant in the Multiplayer event.
This reduced the entries to a selected grope group.... Wink...!

There is now a Password in place to fly on our server!  Cool

I will post this in a sticky as well.

This should hopefully keep the number of undesirables down to a minimum!  Wink

I sent the request for the multiple address setup,
and he said as soon as their server Administrator returns,
he would discuss it with him, as there would be a bit of work with firewalls and such to put it into action.

But he didn't say no, so that's a promising sign!  Wink
