FSX ON LOW SETTINGS RULES!

Hey everybody! Ok, so being on my way to college (do we have any Aggies in the house?? Gig 'em!! Smiley ), I am in the market for a new laptop. I'd like to take FSX with me when I go, so whatever I get I would like to use for that as well as college stuff. That said, for the past few years I've used an HP desktop with an Intel Celeron 2.52 Ghz processor and an Nvidia 6200 in a PCI slot, so I imagine anything would probably be an improvement Smiley Anyway my question is this: I found a Toshiba A665-S6070 in a Best Buy circular this weekend for $899. It's really a little over budget but I'd live. So would this be a good buy for both FSX and school? If not, I thought about building one myself... Is that even feasible considering my budget and purpose? If that IS the best thing to do, does anybody have any advice or anything like that? I REALLY appreciate any input - I just have quite a few questions & dont wanna blow this Smiley Thanks so much!!!

Oh by the way, the specs on the Toshiba are:
Processor: Intel i7-720QM
Graphics Chip: Nvidia 310M
RAM: 4GB
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
HDD: 640 GB

Here's a link to Bestbuy if that would help:

Again, thank y'all so much! & sorry this ended up being so long!!

Seems like a good laptop with a fast processor and plenty of memory, although the graphics processor is very weak. No idea how well it would run FSX although better video graphics would be a good idea.

Ok so after reading your reply about the graphics card not being good enough, I went looking and found the Toshiba A505-6035 - exact same thing as the other one except it has the Nvidia GeForce GT330M as opposed to the 310M... & it's the same price too! Smiley I'm assuming 330M is better?

Yes it's much better. Still, an even faster one wouldn't hurt, but I don't know enough about laptops and it might increase the price dramatically.

Got it! The one with the 330M is really kinda pushing my budget & I can't find anything that seems better for the same price, so I think I'll stick with this one! Thanks so much for y'all's help!! Smiley
