Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks Paul, exactly what I was going for. And I can play Misty for you. It is one of the few songs that I spent the extra time to learn to play chords and melody at the same time. And in the original key of E
b
, in case I ever got to play it with a sax player.

Very nice - how'd you do that?
Thanks Dave.
First, I used real weather, and in that, I just got lucky. The original shot was quite nice. I think there is an unedited version of it in the payware section, or at least in the HR link. Then I used xero Mistifier filter. After that, I added a layer and used the airbrush at an opacity of 3 size 72, with a very light grey to add the fog. Then I used the smudge tool, opacity 80, size 72 to soften and blend. Then I reduced the opacity of that layer until it looked right to me. Editing was done in Paint Shop Pro 7. I don't remember where I got the filter, but if you do a search for filters for PSP you can probably find it. And if you are wondering how in the heck I can remember those settings.....
I have not changed them since I did the edit, so I looked.
Edited:
And I completely forgot to put in the link to the
HR
version of this shot.

One thing you can always depend on at SimV, if you create a half way decent shot, you will get some very nice positive feedback. And I have yet to meet anyone that did not get a kick out of positive feedback.

Haha! Well, at first glance I wasn't sure if I was looking at an airplane or angel!

Well, I have to admit, Beavers can be quite angelic.

I can almost feel the dreariness and feel the pelts of rain as they come down.. I can also almost see the rings in the water from the splashes. Great Job!! now you have to find a more picturesque shot and try to outdo this one! .. GOOD LUCK!

Yes, it looked like a place I would enjoy hanging out at for a while. With my age, health, and (cough, cough) financial health, I'll never be able to visit Alaska, but I sure would love to. Alaska and Canada have always been at the top of my list for places I'd like to go. But thanks to Aces, I can 'almost' go there, as well as many other places of interest.
