Flying Trucker,
Being that you said that you loved "The Tin Goose", I thought I would take a few for you.

Hope you enjoy!

Goodly morning... Smiley

It is a cool damp morning here, at 05:30 there was a red sky but now complete cloud coverage...more rain... Smiley

Wow...wonderful shots and I have to agree the 4th is just awesome.

Thanks for taking the time to do that.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

The last one is nice, but if your computer can handle AA, turn it on to get rid of the jaggies. If not, if you want to take "crisp" shots all the time, just turn it on to take shots, then turn it off when you are done.

Cool

Just like the 1st shot.. ?? - Clouds moving in before the main front hits.

first 3 are with AA turned ON .... this is the FIRST time that i have ever gotten a crisp shot like 4 and that is zoomed in!  Angry Roll Eyes

I wish I had the money for a highend rig that would take #4 shots at a normal distance.    .... the other thing is, it does not matter if i use MSPaint (which is CRAP!), IRFanView, Photoshop, etc... when I go to save it in .JPEG / .JPG format, it compresses the crap out of the pictures, especially with the 150kb limit.  If the shot stays in .BMP it looks a lot better, and more close to what I see while I fly.

and just to put everyone's mind at ease, I ALWAYS Pause BEFORE I take a shot.  I never shoot on the fly.

Someone here, believe it was Hagar, said to leave the shot in BMP while editing and resizing then, as your last move, convert to JPEG.  Seems to have helped me  Smiley.

I believe you're referring to one of my resizing tutes. Glad it helped. Smiley

To avoid confusion, what I was trying to say was; when taking the screenshots, save them in an uncompressed format like BMP. (Some screengrab utilities have the option to save the images in BMP or JPEG.) When processing shots for posting on the forum always work from the original uncompressed screenshots or "master images". Every time you open a compressed image & re-save it in a compressed format the quality will suffer.

Everyone posting images on this forum is working under the same handicap. The amount of compression will vary according to the subject. Certain colours compress better than others. Also, the more detailed the background, the more more graphics intensive the image. To see what can be done have a look in the comp topics.
