both shots are amazing!  Shocked

Not that I'm doubting your taste in art, but would be so kind as to explain how?

While they're not bad shots by any means, they're also just not 'amazing'.

I think the word 'amazing' gets used a little too loosely sometimes around here, and it really doesn't help anyone improve their screenshot abilities when we lie to them, or don't offer constructive criticism.
Especially if the poster is new to the game of screen-shooting. And even more so when they're entering the world of editing.

If I may offer some critique on some items that should be addressed in future shots:

The first shot has a lot of jaggies, showing the red camera view text, blurry scenery, and appears to have had nothing more than a contrast & color adjustment done to it which has actually hurt the look of the shot overall.

The second shot, is a big improvement over the first as far as the color and contrast, but the jaggies are still there, and the blur effect used, almost makes me dizzy while I'm looking at it.

Your first version which you used for the monthly site  contest (HERE), is the better looking of the three, but due to this post, shows that you edited it in order to remove the red text, and if you look closely, you can actually still see some of it in his contest shot.

Oh, and all three shots are linked to imageshack, please upload your shots to the simviation upload page, which can be found here- http://www.simviation.com/yabbupload.html

Have a good look at other posts, and see what it is they do, and ask questions if want to know, you'll almost always get an answer here.
Also check out the tutorial section in the StudioV board below this one, there are many great tips by some of the finest screen artists in FS, and if all else fails, it never hurts to ask.  Smiley

Yeah, you must upload the images here.  Wink

As for my comments. I don't know how new he is to this. If he's new to taking screenshots, then they are really good. I mean, come on! Is it really such a big deal?

Hughes,

Telling someone that their shots are "amazing" when they are obviously new at this leaves no incentive for improvement.

I hope this thread opens the way for more polite constructive criticism on these boards. It's the only way that the new posters here can improve their images.

"Diverskii",
On behalf of all of us that frequent these boards, we hope to see more shots from you, but we also sincerely hope that you are able to learn from others and take advice on how to improve your images.
