I was very limited by the power of my wee SD1100, but give me some props: I stood in one spot (right on the water) for about 4 hours,
before the race started, to get most of these. Managed to shoot through the crowd later (needed a break), but it was very iffy.
Anyway, it was spectacular, as usual... not too hot, but the wind was a bit blustery during the first round, and the course is unusually tight. Those guys were working hard!
If anyone has the chance to make it to the races tomorrow, I'd recommend it (but get a grandstand seat if you can- never again will I go through the General Admission experience with the rest of the herd!).
A good turn-out in the north area of Liberty state Park in Jersey City, NJ... those on the south end of the park had the NYC skyline as a backdrop, but the north side was closer- better for those with puny lenses.
Perfect knife-edge thru the quattro... not sure who this is.
Chambliss comes about for his pass thru the chicane on his second lap...
