Hi,

I am having the problem that I set a time, FSX loads and the active flight has a complete different time, goes mostly to night.

Same thing in an active flight. I change the airport over the menue bar, FSX loads and again it's night.

Thanks in advance.

Problem disappeared.

I think slew mode (Y) was the reason.

Are you sure it's not time difference issues? If you load a flight at 17:00 local on the east coast of America and then start flying in Europe it may well be dark Wink

No, it disappeared after deactivating slew mode.

In an active flight I changed only the airport within a time zone and at the new airport it changed from day to night. I don't know why.

I just recently started out with FSX, and this had happened to me too. What time of day or you using your sim? In the evening or at night perhaps?

Go into the sim's general settings, and look in the list of options in the upper left-hand corner. The last option of the four in that list (right below "Promt on exit") is one that says "Use system time for free flight". Is there a check there?

If so, uncheck it and try loading your flight again.

Disregard if slew was actually the culprit. Wink

Hi,

yes, fsx time in free flight is set to system time.

I remember it was during the day.

The weird thing was, I have set the time for example to noon, fsx has loaded and then it was night.

Slew mode I have used to check new destinations for my VA, to save time. It was also activated during loading new airports.

If I press Y on a VA flight, the flight is lost ('cheating detected,  longitude jump').  Wink

Sometimes my FSX is doing strange things, after closing it and restart, everything is normal.

What I meant was this.

Let's say you save a flight that takes place at 12 noon, and your sim is set to use system time. If you load that flight at 10 pm real world time, the flight will not display as noon like you saved it, but rather 10 pm, because that's what time it is for your system (ie your computer).

Unchecking the "use system time" option will allow you to load the saved flight for exactly the same time you saved it. (in this case, 12 noon.)
