I attended a local airshow this weekend. It was very cool! Here's a few pictures I took. There's a link after them for a slideshow of many more pictures taken at the airshow. There was lots of pretty planes. Cheesy

Great shots! I've flown outta Gillespie countless times. In a few of the shots I can see my dads shop in the background. Always loved when they had the airshow there as the planes would always fly over my parents house. The sound of Mustangs, B-17's, Corsairs... loved it!

I remember several years back they had a Piasecki H-21 (flying banana)... interesting sight and sound there. They also had a beautiful tri-motor there.

I am thinking that maybe the crew wasn't available, or the helicopter was down for maintenance, or something. It' may not even have been there the day I went and showed up for the next day.

Yea the H-21 is based out of Ramona airport where there is a pretty cool helicopter museum.
