Hi, every time I try to launch off the alpha carrier v.10, as soon as the jet hits the end of the deck, it crashes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks,

~Josh

Well, you could disable "detect crashes and damage" in the realism section of the settings.

Yes, I have tried doing that, but it does it's usual routine where it just replaces the aircraft several hundred feet in the air. I'm trying to find a way to get it to let me launch without crashing me or jumping me straight up. Worst thing is, it's worked in the past and I'm not sure why it isn't now.

Is your launch bar down?If so:
This might sound odd.....Try pulling up instead of just being launched.I had the same problem with one carrier or another.I think it was only with Xpack planes though.Don't quote me on that Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

You mean the Captain Sim Xload pack?
I've had no problems like what you're describing with that pack.

I said don't quote me Smiley
Don't remember the specifics.Just remember that for some rason on some carriers the launch bar hits something at the end of the deck.Pulling up helps. You could also try launching with "arrcab" and the launch bar up, instead of the Carriers catapult. Not as realistic but,it will at least tell you if your problem is the launch bar or not. Are you possibly pulling back on the stick before you are off the deck?

Pulling back on the stick could cause you to crash, make sure you are clear of the deck before you pull up.

Also make sure you do not apply rudder movements. Keep the stick straight and in place.
