Hi,
my default plane is the wonderful, incredible freeware Cessna 150 found at fs-tutorials.com.
Recently I've been experimenting with two voice recognition programs, namely Multi Crew Experience and Shoot!.
On both programs, I had set up a vocal command to toggle the ATC window, i.e. a vocal command which sens the corresponding key stroke to the sim.
With this particular aircraft, the command works (it toggles the ATC window) but it also toggles the airplane's left door! I toggle the ATC window ON and the door opens... I toggle it off and the door closes!  Grin
This does not happen with other airplanes.
Can you help me to solve this issue? I've settled with Shoot as it's very good, but it's annoying to have that swinging door.

Fridaychild,

It is really weird that the aircraft designer would select the tilde key to open the door.  Are you sure that you have the keysend program set up correct in the vocie recognition program?  Or that the voice program is not sending TWO different commands when you THINK it is only sending one?

Here is another possible glitch producing secnario......

You have the command "open" set to open the aircraft door.

You have the command "ATC Window" to open the atc window.

You then say to the sim........ "Open ATC window".

Bingo, the door and the ATC window both open.

best,

...............john

Your suggestions make perfect sense, but I don't think that is the case.
When I type the ATC key on my keyboard, the ATC window appears/disappears, and the aircraft door does not open.
I have mapped that very same key (and only that) to a vocal command, both in MCE and in Shoot.
That vocal command is "A.T.C.", simple as that.
In Shoot, I haven't used the provided profile for FS9, instead I created my own, and this profile just contains the commands to use the ATC window "hands free" (the "ATC" toggle command and the "one" "two" etc. commands for the window options. There is no command in the profile to open the door.
Plus, it's weird that the same thing happens with two totally different voice recognition programs.
What's more, I've verified that Shoot sends the correct key, and just that, by opening Notepad and saying "ATC".
I'm left with no clues.
If you still have FS9, since I know you have MCE, could you try this aircraft yourself if you don't already have it? Maybe you could come out with some ideas, and if not, well I promise you won't regret installing the plane anyway!

EDIT: I've found that if I zoom in the cockpit so that the door is not in sight, it doesn't open. It only opens if it's in sight.
