Can't sleep and am bored.
Ok musicians, what professional/semi-professional venue have you played in, type of music, instrument, group/solo, etc. I'll start off.
Rock; guitar; four, five, and seven piece groups; numerous clubs around my home state in the mid to late sixties, as well as a few sessions in recording studios. Of course, at first it was just local dances at high schools, National Guard armorys, American Legions, VFWs, etc. in about a five county area. Then came the clubs.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Definitely! It takes great talent to play the spoon. I can't do it.

A few years before I started guitar, I thought I wanted to play trumpet.

I played Violin, semi pro, back in my youf. Ive had the pleasure of playing in both the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall as part of a symphony orchestra. I also play Guitar and have played in venues too numerous to remember but including live on radio and TV.
I've also played the fool in theatres all over the UK as a Stage Damager

Guitarist in two different rock groups: January 1967 to March 1970, (guitar, bass/vocals, keyboards, drums) then January 1971 to March 1973, (vocals, guitar, bass, drums) with maybe 100 gigs all told in the Miami area, everything from frat houses to private houses to large halls to occasional bar gigs.
The music progressed with the times, from Rascals to Hendrix & Doors, etc. with the first group, then to Tull, Sabbath, and Crimson with the second group.
Our biggest kick with the first group: a rendition of the Doors 'Horse Latitudes' followed by 'When the Music's Over', a 15 minute showstopper.
Our biggest kick with the second group: King Crimson's '21st Century Schizoid Man'.
Totally burned out after all that, I must say, but what a trip it was.

Played Organ/Synthesizers/Electric Piano with a local Pop group in the 1970's...
The novelty soon wore off after endless transporting, unpacking, Playing, packing, and transporting, immediately after the audience had quickly melted away!....
...!
...but I still play all my musical instruments for my own pleasure now, whilst everyone else is more interested in watching the latest Soap on 'Tele...

You and I should get together and jam. Same time frame, same music. Well, I started a little earlier, 1965-1969.

Just imagine how great a band could be created using only SimV members. There is a lot of talent on here.
Would NOT want to be the road manager though.
