If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Nice shot Wink
Cool runway!Where at?

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Thanks.  Smiley Frieda River, Papua New Guinea. There are some shots of the buildings there and at Aiome in my post in Payware. See Manuel's post 'Randoms', also in Payware, for the link to the freeware for both airports.

Edited:
I don't know why I could not remember they were at AVSIM.  Roll Eyes Embarrassed

Nice approach shot - looks like a go-around would require a fairly quick left turn  Smiley.

Yep,  Frieda River Airstrip (FRR) and Aiome Rural Airstrip (AIO)  at AVSIM. There are more shots at:

http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1274135804

http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1274136058

The only reason they are in the Payware section is GEX and REX. The scenery and aircraft are freeware.
