Simply echoing the others, it's truly an hono(u)r to be present in the finalists here! Thanks, and good luck to everyone!  Smiley

The night before the finalists were named I noticed that I had over 1000 hits on my entry.  Thank you very much for that.

It got me to thinking...to be fair, since we're voting.  What about a Write-In Entry?  In other words....if you think that someone else's entry deserves consideration, then have a spot to write them in.

Then if the winner of the Write In gets more votes than one of the Top 10, then the Write In would win, and the highest voted on would get an Honorable Mention.

Now me personally, I really didn't want the grand prize.  My Sunset Over the Navajo Bridge was my first entry into the contest.  So don't think it's my own interests at stake when I offer the suggestion.

What do you think?

What an awesome collection of shots!!!  Hard to pick just one......

Now you know what took so long.  Grin  Wink

Every month, you all make it harder and harder for us to pick only 10 shots.

Great effort from everyone, and thanks for all of your patience.  Smiley

There'll be a little extra in your check next month! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

It's the least we can do! Grin

Seriously though, y'all do an excellent job maintaining this site and doing the shot contests!!!

I, for one, am quite grateful! Smiley

Agreed Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

My first thought was, in 'Road House', when Brad Wesley (Ben Gazzara) tells Dalton (Patrick Swayze) over the phone that Wade Garrett (Sam Eliot) or Doc (Kelly Lynch) has to die. Then he flips a coin and says, "I wish I could tell you how it came out."  Roll Eyes  Grin
