A long while ago I gave a SINGLE person a full copy of my customized BAe 146-200 which included a personal JAL repaint and I think also a personal Southwest repaint.  It also might have had copies of my own custom config files.  This was done so that when we flew online together, that person would see me in the correct aircraft.

I simply cannot remember WHO that person was. (Official Senior Moment)

I have apparently lost all copies of this file in the virus crash!!!!!!  I THOUGHT I had it backed up...... but it is looking like I did not.  Roll Eyes Angry Embarrassed

If you are the person who got that from me, I'd REALLY like to have the whole thing emailed back to me.  It will save me a TON of work re-configuring all of that stuff.

best,

..............john

There is a real good chance that it was me, but I've got around 60Gb of zip files on my hard drive, so if you've got a name for the file, it would make searching for it a lot easier.

I know for a fact that you sent me a link to the United paint & plane that you use, and I remember we all flew around Japan a few times, so it's probably SeanTK or myself.  Wink

Shane,

I haven't got a clue what I would have called it when it was sent.  BAe146-200
xxxxxxxxxxxxx
with the x's maybe having my name?  Or maybe JBaymoreBAe146-200.  I really don't know.

Don't go crazy looking..... if you find it... fine.  If not... fine too.

best,

Ok, it wasn't me.  You sent me the Air Wisconsin paint, I even found the original PM for it.

I'm willing to bet it was Sean, as I found several posts where the three of us flew that area and you were using it, and I know we like to trade paints.  Wink

On a trip so I don't have access to the desktop systems right now. Email records don't show anything related to getting it though, so things don't look promising.
Will check later in the week.

I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!

Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

I did have it backed up in almost the last configuration I had.

The only thing I appear to have lost on the aircraft is my Southwest repaint.  And I have also found the working files for that.... so it'll just take a whilke to finish them up again and reinstall them.

Whew!  An astronomical amount of custom work on all manner of things from sounds, to flight dynamics, to repaints, to gauges, to simpit configurations, and so on was SAVED!

Thanks for looking guys.

best,

Fozzer,

It was stored on one of the usb external drives that I use for backups.  I looked on that one, but for some reason I stored it in a section that was NOT obvious to me when I had looked before.

And it is not the final version.... I'm pretty sure that is gone, gone, gone.

But after thinking I'd have to reinvent the wheel........ it is feeling pretty good right about now.  All I'll have to do is minor stuff.

best,

Shane,

What I found was my own main backups.... not the one I had "stripped" and revised to send to that person for online use.

To share it (as it sits) with others would make no sense and some of it would be illegal.  There are mods to it that involve running my specific simpit.  There are mods that change the flight dynamics slightly to fit my controllers.  I've changed contact point geometry and the locations of stuff like emmitters for some specific special effects that I've added that are pretty specific to me.  I've compiled a combination of freeware and payware (stuff I own) sounds for the sound file.  I've added some payware gauges from other aircraft I own.  I'm flying the bird and my wife is the copilot.  Stuff like that.

I spent the time (a lot) at one point to re-do that so that I could send a "version" out so that someone could see me "as I was" when flying together online.  When I get time to "field strip" it again.... I will send you a copy.  It is mainly the Jon Murcheson BAe-146-200 with a LOT of tweaking.

Two "personal" fictional re-paints..... JAL and Southwest.  Neither really GOOD repaints (I'm an amatuer.).

best,

....................john
