Good afternoon all... Smiley

Had to do a complete reinstall of FSX.

Now I was downloading some scenery and I somehow ended up with an empty checked box in the scenery library.

I tried moving everything up but that left one box at the bottom which would not fill with a download.

I tried to move everything down and that left number one spot empty which would not fill with a download.

What do I do to get rid of this empty box?

Is it important to have the empty box there if I just uncheck it?

Any help would be most appreciated.

You see an empty line next to a check box?

Sounds like you added an area but somehow the 'Title' was left empty. I can replicate your 'problem' by doing just that.

High light the line and click 'Edit area' to see if there is a scenery area folder (Directory) associated with the line. If so, you can just add a Title.

Thanks Dave but couldn't get it to work, it would not allow me to type into the box.

Is it better to have Position One checked and used or the third from the last position checked and used in the Scenery Library?

I have unchecked box one as there is nothing in that location and I am wondering if that makes a difference.

1-Have you received any errors while building your Scenery Library? In particular, have you deleted or moved the folders and files for an add-on scenery without first deleting it's entry from the Scenery Library?

2-When you looked in the 'Edit area' window for the area was there a path in the 'Directory' line? If there is a path and it is not a default scenery area path, have you tried to delete the area from the Scenery Library?

If nothing else works, you can rename or move the 'active' scenery.cfg file (XP path..\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX\Scenery.cfg   Do not mess with the one in your main FSX folder, it's the default backup). The sim will replace it with the default backup. You'll then have to re-do your add-ons.
