I assume that you mean other than using the 2X speed setting in the menu:

From a thread by Bearcat....

"I think you're referring to that old trick of increasing the exe's system priority for more performance. It was SDC who first shared this. You have to create a new shortcut for the cfs2.exe, right-click it and open Properties. It has a shortcut tab where you'll find a target box. Copy and paste this in the box:
%comspec% /C "start /HIGH cfs2.exe"

Keep your old shorty in case you decide not to use this one. Personally, i've never gained much from using it. And it has the added effect of fracking with any other third-party CFS2-related software running in the background, like Active Sky or FSMetar for weather, or screenshot (Mgrab, Hypersnap, IrfanView) or movie-making programs ala Fraps. It cuts them out of the CPU processing loop for your CFS2 session. You'll have to also raise their system priorities before you load the sim to get them to work effortlessly with the high-priority sim engine."

OR could you be talking about adding the FSUIPC.dll to the Modules folder along with the FSUIPC.ini???????? Questioning Questioning

Among other things, FSUIPC allows you to more closely control the function settings of CFS2, and thus increase framerates.  Cool

I'm stymied because the MODULES folder contains only DLL files.   These are in C++ (I believe) and can only be modified if you have the software and knowledge of the machine language.  Otherwise the only things you could do to the MODULES folder is to add a new DLL or remove one.  Undecided

However, the CFS2.exe file selects and controls the features to be used from the Dynamic Language Libraries.  Smiley

Wish I could help.  Cry

If you find your thread, share it with us.  Smiley

The most likely chap to do this sort of thing is our old friend Bill Potvin. Try his Cfo Weather here ---> http://www.btinternet.com/~mnwright/Cfsops/Modules/cfo_weather/Cfo_Weather_75.ht...
