Grumman Tracker!

Logging up more air miles than my trusty Beech Baron 58, at the moment!

FS 2004:..... Wink...>>>

Parked up at Bakersfield en route from Santa Monica to Lemoore NAS airfield...>>>

...

...

...

Displaying her folded wings!

...

This Aircraft was considered one of the "ugliest" Aircraft, in another thread, but I have grown to like her over the past few days. She has even relegated my Beech Baron 58 to back stage during my recent Tours!

With an excellent 2D Panel (I like 2D Panels!.. Tongue..), and an excellent turn of speed.
And those two Wright R-1820 Rotaries growl very nicely..thank-you!... Wink... Grin...!

....not to mention its excellent STOL characteristics!.... Shocked...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Navigator..and some Tracking involved... Wink...!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder Paul. And you know I have an affinity for twin radials. The sweet sound alone is enough to wipe away any ugliness.  Smiley

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Quite right, Larry...

Now that Summer is on the way, and the weather is getting decidedly warmer, I am able to sit in the centre of my Town now and watch the beautiful Twin Radials appearing before my eyes, as they glide slowly by, in their Summer livery.....

...as I growl to myself!... Smiley....!

Paul... Grin... Grin... Grin...!

...I quite like the Grumman Tracker...as well... Roll Eyes... Wink... Grin...!

Brilliant choice of aircraft Paul. You might enjoy these photos I took back in '08. They show an Australian Navy Grumman S-2G Tracker that is currently under restoration. Although at the time she was only in taxi-worthy condition but still a sight to behold, and then there's the sound. Smiley
