"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Also check out "Tasmanian Bush Strips" by Matthew Devenish - combined with the FTX Australian Blue Demo, it's and excellent pack.

These are great strips. Thanks for pointing me inthe right
direction. Shocked
Bear creek takes the cake though.I,ve been trying to take off and land  there ever since I downloaded it! Maybe I need a new bush plane? I'm using the FSX default Maule but, it doesn't seem to have the power to take off on that short of a strip Cry
Any suggestions?

http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH1&fsec=0&fname=an2fixes.zip, I've seen the An-2 T/O and land in less than 100ft.

Another one is the default Piper Cub, with practice you can T/O and land anywhere.

That default Maule ought to get off fairly quick.  Set in at least one notch of flap, trim for a touch nose up then hold it with brakes 'til it's full power.  Release the brakes and, as the tail starts up, hold it low to the ground so that you're presenting more of an angle of attack.  Should fly right off around 50 or you can try encouraging it a little earlier by rocking up on to the left wheel.
