I find it too annoying to look around the cockpit with the hat switch to find all the dials and buttons. I have the 'key' buttons programmed into my joystick and I know a few of the key commands. If it strays beyond that, it probably isn't that neccesary. If it doesn't require much looking around (some buttons are just out of sight and require some zoom changes or some hat switch movement) then I'll use the mouse to click on those instead.

If I had a simpit I would make use of it.

As real as it gets, but limited to small props.
I've seen the PMDG 737 3D cockpit and it scared the crap out of me!  Grin

Hehe, recent generation airliners aren't too bad once you get familiar with how everything works.  A Boeing 737NG, or a 747-400 is a cakewalk compared to say... a Russian Tu-154  Wink

Cheers,

I even have days where I pop into the F-16, Ctrl E, and just fly the heck out of it.

+1 Cool
