Jaw-dropping stuff as always... another very good reason for me to finally visit the UK. I think that's the first thing I'd do, is go up there to do some spotting.  Grin

Does the RAF have F-15's, or are those US ones?

US F-15's from Lakenheath.... see the LN on the tail.

Why do they stay higher than the other jets? Scared?  Grin  Bosses won't let them go low?  Cheesy

I believe they have a limit of 250ft rather than the 100 for the RAF in designated areas....but it really depends on the pilot.....some go low and some don't. Apparently the crews on that sqn at the moment have only just arrived from the US and weather cancelled their familiarisation flight so they don't really know their way round yet (one pilot went the wrong way into one valley and hastily pulled out again)

Yep....had a request for photos from one GR4 pilot. From the week before in the lakes I've had 5 emails from Tucano pilots.....I normally put out a big RAF flag Cheesy
