The 'tail view'  for any aircraft is one of the custom views defined in it's 'aircraft.cfg' file, in a [CameraDefinintion.x] section. You can look in any of the default aircraft for an example.

You could copy the tail view from a similar default aircraft, but you should generate a unique GUID.

For more info on camera definitions: If you have the SDK installed, read the 'fsxsdk.chm' file, Core Utilities section. If not, the same information is here-http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526984(v=MSDN.10).aspx

For explaination of the GUID, and how to 'create' one, scroll down on the 'Overview' page of the 'fsxsdk.chm' document or here-http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526948(v=MSDN.10).aspx

Just out of curiosity, why would you need to generate a GUID?

From my perspective, only 'cause the SDK documents say so...       The technical 'WHY?' is beyond my limited knowledge, but the GUID is basically how the sim keeps track of the bits and pieces. Wouldn't want to confuse it.   Cheesy

Both the SDK Overview and the Camera Configuration document specify the need for UNIQUE GUIDs for any component requiring a GUID.

I have copied cameras from one ac to another and they have worked with the original GUID, but I figure why take a chance...      Wink   Generating a new GUID only take a few moments.

find a default plane of similar size and copy and paste the view you want into the plane's aircraft.cfg.
Here's the tail view of the default 747:

[CameraDefinition.3]
Title = "Tail"
Guid = {5c1df273-034b-4e7f-953a-9d5e26f1646c}
Description = Looking forward from behind the aircraft
Origin = Center
SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel
SnapPbhReturn = FALSE
PanPbhAdjust = Swivel
PanPbhReturn = FALSE
Track = None
ShowAxis = FALSE
AllowZoom = TRUE
InitialZoom = .75
ShowWeather = Yes
InitialXyz = 0, 9.0, -80.0
InitialPbh = 5, 0, 0
XyzAdjust = TRUE
Category=Aircraft
MomentumEffect=TRUE
ClipMode=Minimum
