Make sure your mixture is set to full rich (Ctrl+Shift+F4).

Try pressing Shift + M to turn on the master battery, too. You'll know that it is on if your gps is on and you can see light on when you press the "L" key.

Have you tryed using Ctrl+E to get the engines started?
Also if you saved a flight and shut down an aircraft and turned the fuel switch(s) off, you might have to switch back to that plane to turn the fuel switch on. If your still having problems, start fresh by deleteing any saved flights. Then load a flight with the default cessna172, it's an easy plane to see that everything is turned on, batterys, fuel, radios, ect. Then you can switch back to a jet liner.

I have this problem with the Captain Sim C-130. It takes about 2-3 minutes of me hammering the Ctrl+E button to get it in the air
