Hello all:

I'm fairly new with FSX, but recall from CFS2 days that there was a line in the .cfg file used to adjust (faster or slower) pan view speeds (i.e., using the hat switch).  Does such a thing exist in the FSX.cfg file?

The pan rate is now in the Camera Definitions. The default 'pilot' view definition for VCs is in the Cameras.cfg file, found in the same folder as the FSX.cfg file.

[CameraDefinition.002]
Title = Virtual Cockpit
........
............
PitchPanRate=30
HeadingPanRate=75
.......

values are 0 to 100

For more info on camera definitions: If you have the SDK installed, read the 'fsxsdk.chm' file. If not, the same information is here-http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526984(v=MSDN.10).aspx

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.          Igor Sikorsky
