Dan Air ..... better known to the technicians that maintained radars and radios for the Civil Aviation Authority as Dan Dare. The reason .... if they were departing or arriving at the airport you were working at, you had to switch off all diagnostic equipment as their poorly maintained equipment would swamp the system until they landed or got out of range.

Second one is beautiful. I't got me very close to saying, "nominated." Shocked

In the last one, you do realize what the 4 red light mean. They should all be white if you are coming in at the correct height. Looks like you are "dangerously low." Grin

Er. No, White over White indicates that you're too high. PAPI/VASI depends on the height of the person viewing it, not on the height of the plane.

I quite like the bloom off all the light sources in these shots.

The 4 red PAPI lights mean I'm significantly lower than the aircraft which is on the glideslope Cheesy
