as requested here are some more pics of my first but bad repaint still not finished though  Embarrassed

as you can see on the last pic im having trouble matching up the lines with the superman logo, any suggestions on how i can do this?

Matching up lines is trial and error if you know what part of the texture map is for that section on top of the F-18. Just keep moving the parts of the logo up and down until you are close, then just go a few pixels at a time until you've got it. I'm not the best, and it may not be the easiest, but it works for me.  Wink

Another option is to make a big grid covering the hole paintkit, and numbering each cell.
Then you'll see which number goes where in the paintkit.

thanks for the ideas..with the grid one how would i do that? would it be better to draw it or get one (from somewhere) ?

Lots of tutorials there for painters as well.
