Dulles Airport, VA., April 14, 2010 — Today marks a proud day for the staff of Independence Virtual. My name is Daniel Kinder and I am the CEO and founder of FLYIVA. A little about me first, I’m 20, I work for United Express in real world as a Flight Attendant. I'm stationed at IAD. I have been flying on flight sim since 1998 and have been flying on VATSIM since 2006.

Apart from being a newcomer to the online Virtual Airline community, Independence Virtual Airlines brings years of combined experience in air travel to a team bound for a bright future. With an advanced fleet of aircraft, and service to multiple destinations, FLYI affords variety and professionalism to all pilots.

We are the newest name in Virtual Airlines and our philosophy is that pilots are sick and tired of the treatment they have received from other Virtual Airlines in the past. We want to make our operation fast, easy and a lot more fun for our pilots to fly.

Our base of operations is Washington Dulles, which is an airport that a lot of pilots want to fly to but there isn't a whole lot of service in and out of Washington Dulles. We are not only confident that we have picked the right location for our operation but we have the right ideas on how a virtual airline is supposed to operate. Our fleet consists of the Airbus A319 and Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft. We plan on operating 35 destinations at first as a legacy carrier with a possibility of future expansion into other markets.

Our motto is “be different,” because that’s what we want to be. We want your career at Independence Virtual to be fun and enjoyable. That is why there is no admissions exam, no check rides and VATSIM flying is encouraged, but optional.

Our website was designed in house by the CEO and we have obtained the VAFS ACARS program. We have a fleet available for download on our site as well as manuals to help you start your career. We also have company forums available once your register with tons of information regarding our VA and places for you to communicate with company pilots and staff.
