Oświęcim is the Polish name for a small village in southern Poland, which went later on to become Auschwitz.
We took a day there on a school trip to Krakow, it  was really interesting; yet really sad and powerful.

First, we went to Auschwitz 1, the first, and one of the smallest camps.

Then we went to Aushwitz - Birkenau, the extermination camp. IT was massive, hectares of camp, and could hold around 20,000 prisoners.
