I have an intel Core 2 Duo 6300 to give away. It came out of a junker Dell or HP that supposedly has a bad board after a power surge. My computer guru said the machine tries to boot up, but fails. If anyone wants to take a chance on a free chip that may or may  not work, drop me a PM and we'll send it off to you.

On the chip is written: INTEL CORE 2 DUO
                                6300 SL9SA MLAY
                                1.86GHZ/1066/06
                                L630A8 04

I have the heatsink and fan base, but I have scarfed the 80mm fan that came with it. I needed that. Also have a DVD drive. I am keeping the LightScribe DVD drive that came in it. No RAM; my guru took that. It has a TV tuner card, but it looks like it requires special connections and stuff to make that work. I'm keeping that and may cobble up something to make it work. Or I may just buy a card and save myself the trouble...

NNNG says he wants it. First-class postage will be around five US bucks. I never expected just five bucks to take anything so far...

If he changes his mind I'll gladly take it off your hands, and pay the shipping.
