Hi All,
Can anyone recommend a joystick for FSX.
I am currentily using a Logitech Force 3D Pro, but find it far too sensitive even after hours of tuning and adjustment. The force feedback makes any aircraft almost uncontrollable.
Thanks for any help.

I would highly recommend the Saitek X52 Pro!
Been using it for over a year. Never any problem(s), or difficult set-up, EVER!!!

I really like my Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar. All metal joystick and separate metal throttle. The base is quite heavy and the springs are powerfull so you can feel that you are working a real piece of equipment and not a plastic toy. It is fully programmable to issue single or multiple keystroke sequences with a delay that you specify. The number of command possibilities are huge because you press several "shift" buttons that give you alternate commands. Each button can be set to single, repeat (at a designated rate), or toggle.

Hi
Thrustmater is about to release the new Warthog. looks like may be amoung the nicest HOTAS system on the market.
Logitech G940 is quite nice, but FFB is still rather gimmicky, so that may be something to consider.
I'm not sure why FFB hasn't progressed in flight sims the way it has in race sims. While FFB in race sims has steadily improved over the last 10 years, in flight sims, it hasn't.
This isn't the joysticks fault, since the FFB is terrific on the G940. It works great in rFactor (yes, I have a steering wheel, G25. I just wanted to see how the FFB felt on the G940 in a game that has full FFB support).
For some reason the FFB code in flight sims hasn't caught up to what it is like in race sims. The hardware certainly supports full FFB parameters, but flight sims still use a somewhat generic code that doesn't do the hardware justice. It feels very fake.
The Saitek X52 Pro is a good inexpensive joystick. Couple one with the Saitek Pro Pedals and you will have a nice setup offering good control and plenty of buttons, hats, and proportional rotary knobs for nearly everything you may need.
I just bought a G940 a couple months ago. If I had it to do over, I would have waited for the Warthog myself. I still may end up getting one and selling my G940.

And quite enjoyable with the switch/control panels!
I have limited room, and a "finance manager", a.k.a. wife, that would only 'allow' the ProFlight switch and multi panels.
Awesome stuff at awesome prices....easy to set up and use, AND, easy to correct any diffculties and/or problems. But wait! I've not had any problems....it all depends on what ya can afford and what you prefer.
I did a bit of 'homework' prior to going with the Saitek stuff. It boiled down to the best "bang" for the buck.
I am very pleased with the Saitek gadgets and gizmos. So much so that I also sport the Cyborg keyboard. (looks very cool at night!

How about useing a Extreme 3D Pro Twist Handle Joystick,
ive had it for about 2 years and no problems with it, just make sure you make sure all the buttons work before you use it.

They say Spring 2010, so I expect it anytime now.
It will probably be rather expensive. I'm guessing 400-500 USD. And I don't believe it will include rudder pedals. But, that is only because I haven't heard any mention of them. I just hope it isn't a twist for yaw joystick, unless it has a very good (firm, no play) lockout for it.
