Don't know where to post this.

Any comments on this?  I know nothing so far, haven't had time to think about it.

$499.  A gotta have?, or just depending on personal uses, etc.?

They're lining up like crazy to get it.

same here, and I plan on not using em, or when I have kids, ban apple products in my house.
Hate them. Only reason why a majority of people buy their stuff is to be "popular."(Which is why they target teens)

here are the specs, quite sad only 1 ghz processor

iPad?

Naa, you need the Notion Ink ADAM

It's larger, lighter and probably better.

Thanks for the feedback, guys.  I wasn't planning on buying it anyway, but nice to get some objective opinions here, kinda puts it in perspective.  Cheers.

To me the iPad is nothing more than an over sized iPhone. Useless to me. I never found the touch screen very interesting or convenient. Apple products are mostly a waste of money.

I can't take credit for this.  I found it on bash.org.

Which is why me, nor my kids will have any Apple products allowed in my home, not even their friends will be allowed with them there.
Every month I sometimes get on average over 100 replies on youtube from people saying apple pwns.

EDIT- And look what the tech gods did to me after I posted the above

I personally can't stand Apple products. Was forced to use a mac last summer when I was on the photography team for the VA National Wheelchair games, and absolutely hated using macs. I'm sure they're good systems, but I was embarrassed because I needed help figuring out basic operating system functions.

Apart from that, I refuse to buy an mac, ipod, or an iphone, ipad, or any other 'i' apple product...

A PC works well for me. My MS Zune is awsome, and my cheap little samsung cell phone does everything I need it to.... Grin

I have been on the Apple bashing side for a while.  However after using them while working in the psychology lab at WSU I have learned a little more about them and I am afraid that I might be in danger of converting the next time I need a new computer (won't be for a while considering I just bought 2 PC's this past year.

My I-pod Touch decided to start working again after being connected to another PC(!). Great because I like it a lot as an MP3 player, miniature game console and photo album.

Apple iPad
Many Apple fans couldn't wait to get their hands on an iPad

Some owners of the newly-available iPad have reported problems with connecting their devices to wi-fi.

Hundreds have complained about weak signals on the tablet computer.

Apple acknowledged on its support page that "under certain conditions, iPad may not automatically rejoin a known wi-fi network".

It offered a fix, but suggested that it was a router issue, despite some users saying that other devices worked fine on the same wi-fi connection.
