Some may have caught my thread a couple weeks back about me going on a mission to Haiti to help the relief effort. It was a fantastic trip and I just thought I would share some photos. I made an online gallery for them so I'll just share the link:

Enjoy!

Some really good photos, there, especially the portraits.
I see a lot of hope and resilience in those faces- a good sign.

Good on you man, my unit was scheduled to deploy there back in Nov for security purposes but we were stood down after violence and looting calmed down, they said the Army could handle it.

They are amazing people. Of all the people we talked too only one was negative about the country. We even asked something like 7 kids if they wanted to leave and only one said yes, and that was only because he wanted to travel.

There's a ton of UN influence down there right now. Was hard to go more then a day without seeing a truck with armed UN soldiers (mainly from Brazil) on it. Saw a few U.S. Army out there and a ton of the local police force with their shotguns as well.
I've honestly felt like I've been in more danger in places in my home town. Haiti is an amazing country with some fantastic people.
