Time for the next project. This one is has been declared finished. I could do more, but this is more stand off scale......don't get too close when you look at it Grin I am pleased with the result, though I have no clue where to put it at the moment, space is at a premium for my creations Undecided Anyway, here it is. Comments and suggestions are as always welcome.

Matt

Beautiful work.  Cool I always loved scale models and miniatures but never really had the time or patience to actually complete one.

Outstanding Matt. Smiley And the fire damage is so good, I have to ask: did you actually burn it?  Smiley

I can remember whilst in the REME, in the British Army on the Rhine in the 1950s, we had these Half Tracks in our Workshop for working on Centurion Tanks, and their engines
They were fitted with Rubber Tracks, and not for use on Public Roads (Hard Surfaces).

Well, the short answer is yes!

What I used was a heat gun of the type used to strip paint. It pushes out hot air at a temperature of 630C. If you hold it back a distance then the wood just smoulders and a bit closer after a short while it burns. I smouldered and burned.

And Fozzer, yes rubber tracks! I used this website, it has good walk around pictures. Thanks all for the good words.

Excellent weathering!

Just one question. How did you manage to park it in that  (small) burned out shelter?  Wink

well, you can always lend it to your local hobby shop. I am sure they would like to put in on display for you.

just a suggestion Smiley

I'd hate to have been in a german squad that came under fire of one of these.
