That truck driver must have been asleep! Don't you think he'd notice, at least when the car got itself into that spot (noise, vibration, suddenly losing several mph...) ? Roll Eyes

Without knowing all the facts it sounds like she pulled out in front of the lorry from a slip road without matching its speed. Lots of accidents caused that way.
