Hi I've asked this question here as well: I am looking for replacement textures for mountains. I need better textures for Table Mountain in Cape Town.

For FS9, I'd suggest cape_town_srtm.zip by Andreas Trawny, available at avsim.com.

Thanks Pieter, I already have SRTM mesh installed, but I just dont like the mountain textures. But I will install your suggestion as well, and see what happens!

There are several texture enhancements available for FS9. I use Howards Mix, found on page 139 of FS9 scenery downloads. I really like the upgrade as a whole but wasn't crazy about the new cloud textures so I changed them back. As always, be sure to backup your original textures so you have that option .
