Are the new ATI Catalyst 10.1 & .2 drivers still incompatible with FSX (like the 9.11 & .12 drivers where)?  Or, do they work just fine?

I have 10-1 installed and FSX runs perfect with it.

I just get a self-shadowing problem, but I don't know if that's an ATi thing, a catalyst thing, or if it is something everyone gets.  Undecided

Excluding that problem, I'm running the 10.2 (and 10.1 previously) drivers fine.

Does anyone have a guide as to the set up with ATI cards - Catalyst / 10.2?

I have a new rig, with a HD5700 series card. I'm used to nVidia products, thru nHancer so I know the basics...

Thanks in advance!

Nope.....

got all that!  Wink

Just the "normal stuff" for this card and general FSX settings.

Looking for a guide on ATI - and FSX.....a benchmark so to speak.

Thanks Tai-2 & LeeC for the feedback.

adkleaddog, one thing you want to do is set Catalyst A.I. to advanced.  Basically, Catalyst A.I. uses fancy algorithms to improve performance, without any noticeable reduction in image quality.
I have no idea what to do with the other settings.

Thanks!

I found this....it's for FS9 but let's see!

I'll give it a try with just AI set to advanced asou mentioned, then see if the suggested settings help.
