In the Setting Section under Graphic and Scenery, what section does the most effect on the quality and performance of the game when adjusted. My rig is a 3.4G, 3G RAM and a Radeon 5770 1G video card. What should the filtering be set at? From time to time while playing the game I see light blue patches on the ground and a series of "poles" in the horizon. I've already lowered my autogen to Dense. I just thought that I could do better.

Go here, press Ctrl + F, then enter in the search box FSX TUNING.  This should tell you everything you want to know about what effects what.
