I recently downloaded the latest release by Warwick Carter; the excellent T-6 package. I installed it and everything seemed fine. Shows up in my aircraft list, I choose it and start a flight. My flights always start in the vc, and this one was no different. Plane flies great, and the vc looks fantastic. Problem is when I switch to an external view, the sim just freezes like the comp is thinking, then I get a fatal error message, fsx has to close, bla bla bla. I tried this multiple times with the same result. Strange thing is I then tried Warwick Carters P-51, and the same exact thing happened. I used to be able to get external views with no problem on the P-51. Anybody have any ideas what may be the problem? All other aircraft work just fine.

My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

I did do the gauge removal per the readme, but had the same result. Running SP2/Accel

Darn it Smiley ok all I can suggest is what I did with another user,
comment out all the gauges in the [Vcockpit01]
and see if the model works fine. If so go back and add the gauges 1 at a time till it locks.
In regards to the P-51 the only common thing that I can think of is the Glock gauge, that code been used in lots of aircraft but then again there are so many different system setups. Its not surprising the P-51 caused a lockup as there is so much in the mustang that would upset FSX/Accel.Or maybe your system hates my addons Cheesy
Cheers

Excellent, I will give it a try tonight and see what happens. I can do without a gauge or 2 if thats the case. The exterior models look so great, its a shame not to get screenshots of them, ya know?

I used to fly the P-51 all the time, and have I think around 20 repaints for it, so I know my system can take it. Just strange it changed one day to do what the T-6 is doing. Thanks for the great addons, Im always looking forward to them!

I did what you had recommended and just by chance I started with the Glock gauge as mentioned being in the P-51 as well. Turns out removing that gauge worked like a charm! Have yet to try the P-51, but I have a good feeling that will be fixed as well! Thanks alot!

Hi
Glad you got it sorted, the gauge only controls the tail wheel lock function in relation to the joystick position.Must be a issue with your stick setup or some other voodoo,no biggie you will just have to assign a keystroke to the tail wheel lock and use that instead
