Nice shot. I don't recognise the aircraft.
From the look of that snow it won't be Spring for a while yet. They fly in open cockpits all year round over here.

Thanks, Doug. I had to Google the registration to identify it, myself. It's an Orloff-Geist Spezial DAL-1. From the front view, it looks like a Pawnee and a Cub's love child.
Regarding the snow, there was about two feet of the stuff kicking around a few days ago. It's been warm and sunny since, and the trend will (hopefully) continue for a while.

Actually, the DAL, aka the "Tuholer ("Two holer", 'cuz it has two seats in tandem) is a plans-built airplane... supposedly quite fast and obviously fun to fly.
Just the plane I'd expect to see making the most of a very early spring-like day... I'd be gnashing my teeth all winter if that was my plane.
