Nice shot. I don't recognise the aircraft.

From the look of that snow it won't be Spring for a while yet. They fly in open cockpits all year round over here. Tongue

Thanks, Doug. I had to Google the registration to identify it, myself. It's an Orloff-Geist Spezial DAL-1. From the front view, it looks like a Pawnee and a Cub's love child.

Regarding the snow, there was about two feet of the stuff kicking around a few days ago. It's been warm and sunny since, and the trend will (hopefully) continue for a while. Smiley

Maybe the 'experimental' is actually about testing the weather to see if it is suitable to fly in  Grin

Nice shot though  Cool

Actually, the DAL, aka the "Tuholer ("Two holer", 'cuz it has two seats in tandem) is a plans-built airplane... supposedly quite fast and obviously fun to fly.
Just the plane I'd expect to see making the most of a very early spring-like day... I'd be gnashing my teeth all winter if that was my plane. Grin
