I know Feb has come and gone....but I did get a chance to take a friend out to the marina then. Vince has been working to understand some camera basics with a nice point 'n shoot camera in hopes that he will be well prepared to deal with an SLR in the near future. I included him in one of these shots, to show his intense concentration of his task at hand......the day was pleasant, light was reasonable and we both came back with some nice memories......enjoy !

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Yes very nice shots Ken... Wink

The last shot I noticed the boat did not have it's name on the stern but along the port side near the stern.  I don't think I have seen too many do it that way.

Not sure if that is a boat or a ship, I think a ship carries a boat or boats or perhaps the classification between a boat and a ship goes by length or tonnage.   Smiley

Again great shots of a beautiful area Ken.   Wink

you should have popped by Comox CFB while you where there... more than 16 armed CF-18s on the flight line as well as 3 CC-130's with refueling pods, on top of the usually prominent CC-115, CH-149, DHC-6, and CP-140... for those of you who don't know them by Canadian code name DHC-5, EH-101, Twin otter, P-3.

Carriers would be so mush easier to land on if they would just stop turning!!!

WOw what a beautiful marina and some gorgeous boats in the shots.  I can't wait to get my boat.  I cruise Craigslist everyday just to look at pictures of boats and dream  Smiley

I love the life at sea...(go figure, I'm a Marine haha)

You are speaking to a local, I live 7 mins from the base and we could hear every departing f-18 that went out, ..... I'm not so sure that there were 18 of them....I did get some poor images of half a dozen sitting on the apron but never more than that.....
