I have 2 Saitek throttle levers, side by side.  I don't know what others' experience is, but I think they are pure junk.  Their jitteriness right out of the box is astoundingly bad, and it just gets worse over time.  Calibration is virtually impossible.  My manifold pressure guage jump around like like a seismograph.

Anyway, I've been looking at the Goflight tq-6.  It is quite expensive and I don't want to buy something this pricey unless it is the absolute best.

Is it easy to calibrate, or do the input curves change from day to day, minute to minute?  Will it last?

What are my mounting options?  Will it clamp to the edge of a desk?  Not interested in being one of those crazy home cockpit builders, just looking for a dependable throttle control.  Advice appreciated.

Hey.... I resemble that remark!!!!!!   Wink

To compare the Goflight modules to ANYTHING that Saitek makes is to compare a Kia to a Mercedes.

I have had nothing but great experiences with my numerous Goflight products and service (but don't use their forum for support..... call them).

Do yourself a favor and get the payware version of FSUIPC and you can solve all manner of problems inhernet to the sim... like jittery controls, and other stuff.  it is the swiss army knife of flightsim........a real MUST HAVE.  You can fix youer Saitek throttles until you can decide on the Goflight unit.

You want expensive throttle quads....... visit the homebuild section  Wink.

best,

I have fsuipc.  The Saitek throttles are so unsteady now that no amount of fsuipc calibration or sync positions will do.  The filter algorithm in fsuipc is totally innefective.

I would hesitate to buy a CH throttle because I'm assuming that for the same price range, it probably of similar quality.

I suppose the tq-6 will deliver stable values then...
Are my only mounting options to either sit it on top of the desk or otherwise to mount it in one of those very expensive racks?  The only good thing about the Saiteks is how they clip on the edge of the table  Smiley
