Sorry for the rampant New Zealand theme lately...I'm just enjoying it too much!
Featured here is:
FS2004 VOZ 1.8 North textures.
Freeware Vought Corsair by Guy Hulin.
New Freeware liveries by Markus Hellwig.

Don't apologize. We love NZ. Great shots. And I love the black livery.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks. Just wasn't sure if people would start to get annoyed with the same geographic region time and again. Don't want to push it too much. I've been flying exclusively in New Zealand lately, and have been having a blast.
You comment also really makes me wonder how these images show up on other people's screens. The darker liveries are actually navy blue, although now you have me thinking about how cool an actual black-painted Corsair would be!
Seriously though, if I start to post too much NZ stuff (or wherever) feel free to tell me to "switch it up" location or theme wise, and I will gladly oblige! When I get on a good theme, I'll usually be stuck on it for a while until someone hints at me to snap out of it!

Now you have me wondering how mine look on other screens. I had darkened my monitor a little a couple of weeks ago because I thought it was too bright. I brightened it back up and looked real close. They still look black to me. But I have no idea how accurate the colors are on my monitor.

Are you using a CRT or LCD monitor?
For anybody else that sees this thread, do the darker planes look black to you? I'm really curious now.

I'm veiwing on a new samsung full HD screen with high contrast and they look black to me. in the past, ive done edits where they appear ok to me but too dark for others!!
as for the shots, lovely. I like the fact that the two shots look the same, just different zooms. the first one brings you in on the aircraft, while the second gives you the overall feel of the situation. and the paintwork matches the landscape perfectly! then theres the composition of both shots, the clouds, mist etc, its 2 awsome shots!!!

Hi folks...
The lead aircraft looks black with grey on my monitor.
The aircraft with the yellow cowl looks grey.
The aircraft on the leads starboard side is a different shade of black and grey.
The leads roundels on the wing and fuselage are blue.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I did not know until now. It's a 19" Dell LCD 1901 FP. Device manager just listed it as plug & play, but I finally found out using ATI Control Center.

From a casual glance the darker colour does appear black to me. However, knowing it would be navy blue I didn't take much notice. The top surfaces of the aircraft in your shots are in shadow & I suspect the colours would look different with sunlight on them just as they would in real life.
I often wonder how people see my photos on their monitors. In the end it all depends on the type of monitor & their display settings.
