As soon as I saw the two lakes, tiered one above the other, I knew I had to do this edit. The bottom one was added in the edit. I don't remember the exact location, but it is near Taku Lodge.
Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

For a couple of years, in Juneau, I moonlighted with a part 135 outfit and flew lots of trips to Gustavus. Sure I knew it was Glacier Bay but not, until recently, did I know it was TAKU glacier
.

Do you have any idea why Taku Lodge and Taku Harbor are so far apart? Or is it just that they both took the name of the glacier?

That'd be my guess. Have you been out to Cape Spencer yet? Used to be a Coast Guard station there - just a helipad then right turn up the beach past Mt Logan - pretty spectacular.

Don't think so, but it sounds very interesting. Thanks.

Don't know why I took so long to get around to something like this.
