Did you complete the un-install using your FS 2004 Disk No 1?

(The un-installer program is on disk No 1)

...followed by deleting any left-over unwanted Folders?

The recommended way...

There's a terrific uninstaller I learned about in PCWorld magazine. Go to:
www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html Download the free one.

It not only removes the "visible" files within the program, it also tells you which registry keys are associated with the program you are removing, without making you run regedit, where you can do a lot of damage. Just be careful deleting when it shows you the list of keys within the registry that are associated with the application you are uninstalling. Check ONLY the ones that are in bold type!!!

I forgot something -- delete the FS9 folder. It's a hidden folder in c:\. If you don't know how to access it, reply to this post.

I agree - Revo is excellent.

Just to be on the safe side, prior to doing a re-install you should still do a manual check to see if any files or folders from the previous installation were not removed.

That would include the hidden cfg files as well as the main FS folder also.

Never hurts to err on the side of caution. Smiley
