Pardon me if this Q has already been asked and answered (I can't locate it if so), but is there  any way to shut down a sim  aircraft at a parking spot in, say, Santa Barbara airport and then returning to the same aircraft at a later time?  I tried saved flights but that just returns me to the airplane with all systems on at a runway, apron or gate. Any guidance will be appreciated.

You have to park it, shut it down, and save it as your "default" flight.
Put a tick in the box that says "Make this my default flight"
