Was driving home from class this afternoon sitting at a light getting ready to turn. All of a sudden I see this large prop plane fly overhead in a brilliant aluminum finish. I rushed to my dorm, grabbed my camera and forgot all about the test I was going to study for. 









Phoenix-Mesa Gateway airport has been a goldmine for aviation recently.  Last Saturday there were 2 T-38's, 4 AV-8B's (2 of which were twin seaters), and a T-45.

I love this place 

Some nice angles, so often trying to get the whole aircraft the pictures look flat and distant. These are good

It's rare to see an amazing aircraft like this, let alone one that still regularly flies. It was certianly lucky.

She is a beautiful airplane.  She spent a week here about a year ago, giving tours and rides.  I almost got a ride in it, but the last empty seat got taken.

That is sooooo shinny, awesome catch, and my fav WWII Bomber at that.

She is a beauty for sure. Wish I could see them flying more often, but I suppose that the rarity makes its special.
