Mount St. Helens
Thanks for looking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Nah, I'm a lot further away than it looks; and about to change heading.

I wouldn't bet on it. I remember the last time Mt. St. Helen blew her top. I've got some of the ash my mom sent me that settled on Portland.

Wouldn't it be great, if we could set a date and location and go back and witness the event in simulation. But I think the CIA needs to release a lot more powerful alien computer stuff first.

Well, there are effects such as fireworks that appear on certain dates and times at a particualr location, so if someone created the effect, it could probably be done.
Cool idea for a shot.

Quote:
Kilauea
Kilauea Map is an active vulcano the islands. In 1983 one of the eruptions started an you will only see the volcano in eruption in Flight Simulator on that year.
Change the time to a night of year 1983. Takeoff from Hilo Intl airport (PHTO), climb and maintain 5000 ft, and fly heading 204 for 23 nm. Return to PHTO on VOR 116.90.

Actually, I was hoping for something a little larger, able to be seen further away. I posted a shot of that a while back. It's a neat little animation, and it is also in Lynn & Bill Lyons Golden Hawaii.

Since Mt St Helens was such a major event and had happened decades before fs 9 and fsx a simulation could have been put into the software. To bad they didn't. I suppose Aces had thier hands full as it was.
Anyone know if the the geyser, "Old Faithfull" is in fsx? Seems to me it is. I think.
